I like how the sprites of the turtles look on the genesis vesion alot better, plus the colours make them look more like the movie VS the SNES versions witch look more like the cartoon. my favourite looking level is Tatsu's level when outside. I can't believe their is not sewer level in the SNES version, besides surfing on the water I actually prefer the music better (stereo VS mono, not much other differance) I like the city level better except it's longer in the SNES version, so tie more animation frames per turtles and enemies Here are a couple of points like about the Genesis over the SNES I think Hyper Stone is like a sequal to Turtles in time, like with that level called "Mysterious Ghost Ship" is probably the ship form Turtles in Time, only run down after all that time. They are different enough for me to be considered almost totally different level. Other than that I kinda prefer the Genesis version over the SNES, but I can't live without both of them, and the SNES is a very close second. The only thing I really hated about the Genesis version was that recycled level with the recycled bosses, The Gaunlet. Oh and that throw against the screen was possible on the Genesis too, since it wasn't scalled in the SNES version, but probably left out to be able to fit more character on screen, maybe or something, but I have yet to varify or investigate this. Just look at the mouth animations for April and Leo, for an obvious comparisons.
Also the intro cinema has more animation frames too, by far though and animates faster. SNES version totally wins because of the level count, but Hyperstone doesn't deserve to be counted out thanks to the things mentioned in this article. Super Shredder is so gimmicky and easy.regular Shredder was a beast. TIT Arcade has the best final boss battle out of the three. The only reason I can come up with is that Konami didn't want to spring for a more expensive, larger cart size. I also played the TIT Arcade Game.and wow, I don't see why Genesis couldn't handle it TBH. Since I could see all the detail and color in their shells, while I really have to try hard as hard could be to notice the same detail in the SNES version. I recently did a side by side of these games myself, and came up with all the same conclusions, except I gave Genesis the graphics too. If the Genesis has more vibrant colors and detail, why does SNES get the graphics win? Just because of the Mode 7 throw?
I don't get it with the graphics category (I completely agree with everything the article said, except for the result of the graphics category.)
